SPRING ISN'T FAR BEHIND

My leaves started to wilt,
and my twigs started to split.
I doubted death at my door.
I began to run- a race to live.
But my roots, ran so deep-
weren't ready to disengage...
Alas! I decided to face the fate.
Death knocked at the door.
There stood at the threshold,
an angel with a lamp who said
"Spring isn't that far, my child...."
I doubted death at my door.
I began to run- a race to live.
But my roots, ran so deep-
weren't ready to disengage...
Alas! I decided to face the fate.
Death knocked at the door.
There stood at the threshold,
an angel with a lamp who said
"Spring isn't that far, my child...."
I saw the light, she left within me.
The light - which could bring spring to the whole world.
The light - which can never be put out by any wind.
