“Fly On Your Wings..."

Alone I went through
the streets at night
To see something new
Other than the stars shining bright...

I wondered why no one came out
Was it because they fear the darkness?
I saw none on the pavement...
But some wings enjoying the stillness...

With it's flickering light ,
it made the night seem bright...
while paving me the path ,
it showed it's faith...

Fluttering wings moving to and fro...
Wings dying hard hunting it's dreams,
wings pursuing it's passion,
wings, showing it's eternal hope on darkness.

Wings of a firefly ,
asking each of us to walk on
with a glowing lantern.
To make our hopes it's fuel,
to spread it's light, while
travelling through darkness...
Because darkness brings out the light in you.
